From the moment we are engaged, Detail Renovations becomes an integral part of the team. Whether working alongside a remediation company, public adjuster, insurance carrier, architect, designer, or directly with the client, we help coordinate the process and provide a single point of confidence throughout the reconstruction.
In many cases, we are brought in before remediation begins. We carefully identify and surgically extract stone, millwork, cabinetry, and other architectural elements that can be preserved, protected, and restored. Our approach is designed to safeguard what is valuable before the reconstruction process even begins.
Assess
Before rebuilding, we take the time to understand the property and get to the root cause of the issue. We assess the affected areas, identify what needs to be addressed, and determine the appropriate path forward.
Using advanced Matterport 3D technology, we meticulously document the existing conditions, capturing the space, dimensions, finishes, and architectural details. This creates a precise visual record and gives our team—and the client—a clear understanding of the property before work begins.
Reconstruct & Refine
This is where our craftsmanship takes center stage.
Our goal is not simply to put the property back the way it was. In most cases, we are rebuilding it better than it was originally constructed—improving the quality, execution, and details while respecting the character and design of the property.
We coordinate closely with the entire team and manage each phase with a white-glove level of service. From the largest construction elements to the smallest architectural details, our craftsmen approach every aspect with precision and care.

A fire, flood, or mold event can be overwhelming—particularly when the home is highly detailed, highly customized, or irreplaceable.
At Detail Renovations, we understand that reconstruction is about far more than repairing what was damaged. It is about protecting what can be saved, documenting what existed, navigating the complexities of the claim, and ultimately restoring the home with the level of craftsmanship it deserves.
Our role is flexible by design. Sometimes we are the first call. Other times, we are brought in by a public adjuster, remediation specialist, architect, designer, or insurance professional. In every circumstance, our objective remains the same: to become an important part of the team and advocate for a thoughtful, comprehensive reconstruction.
When We Are the First Call
When appropriate, we begin by carefully documenting the home and its existing conditions. Using advanced Matterport technology, we can create a detailed digital record of the property—capturing the architecture, finishes, millwork, cabinetry, stonework, and other elements that may be difficult to accurately document after a loss.
We then develop a comprehensive reconstruction scope and estimate, working closely with the homeowner and, when appropriate, the insurance carrier to help ensure that the scope accurately reflects what is required to restore the property.
Our experience allows us to identify details that can easily be overlooked during the early stages of a claim—and to work diligently to ensure those details are properly considered.
Protecting What Can Be Saved
In a significant loss, timing can be critical.
Before remediation begins, we may coordinate with a trusted remediation specialist to carefully evaluate elements that may be salvageable. In certain circumstances, our team can surgically extract cabinetry, stone countertops, millwork, and other architectural elements before remediation begins, giving these components the best possible opportunity to be preserved and incorporated into the reconstruction.
For a highly customized home, this level of care can make an extraordinary difference.
Assembling the Right Team
Not every claim is the same, and not every situation requires the same team.
When we believe a claim may be particularly complex, we may recommend bringing a highly experienced public adjuster into the process. We maintain relationships with professionals who understand the complexities of significant residential losses and can help guide the claim from the insurance side.
At other times, Detail Renovations is introduced by a public adjuster or remediation company. In these situations, we provide the reconstruction expertise, detailed proposals, documentation, and ongoing support necessary to help move the project forward while keeping the client’s interests at the center of the process.
