Our firm recently worked with Detail Renovations on a gut renovation of an apartment on the Upper West Side. When working on high-end residential projects like this one, having a detail-oriented contractor is essential to the success of the project. Especially in a Pre-war building, with all of its charming quirks, it can be difficult to execute the sleek, modern design we were after. Detail Renovations took extra care to ensure that the new and existing surfaces were expertly prepared, plumb and level, knowing that there was nowhere to hide imperfections. Throughout the process, David and his team asked thoughtful questions in order to stay true to the design concept. They maintained a great relationship with the building management, and coordinated with them when replacement of the building’s plumbing risers needed to be completed simultaneous with our renovation.
