Locust Valley, New York

Project Overview

Initially purchased as a seemingly newer property, this house required far more work than anticipated. We transformed this traditional home into a modernized, luxurious space by integrating advanced smart home features, including a Savant-controlled system for lighting, music, thermostats, and even garage doors and gates—all operable from a single app.

Unique Element

We designed a CrossFit-style gym in the basement equipped with Rogue gear and built custom storage systems with integrated lighting. The kitchen, laundry room, and main bathroom underwent extensive renovations, with all new appliances, custom cabinetry, and anti-etch marble surfaces to prevent staining and etching, a rare and valuable feature. We installed a high-end AV system with Lutron-controlled lighting throughout the home and upgraded plumbing in all the bathrooms.

Custom Creations

The water jet-cut marble flooring was a unique feature, which created an intricate design in the primary bathroom. We also installed a floating bench and a custom Starfire shower door. Every room in the house was repainted and refinished, including the Brazilian cherry wood floors, tinted to achieve a rich, mahogany tone. The home features hand-printed and textured wallpapers in the powder, family, and sitting rooms. The lighting was upgraded with recessed fixtures that conceal the bulbs, providing a soft, glare-free ambiance. The multi-functional custom closet system has adjustable shelving to grow with the child’s wardrobe and dual-integrated hampers for easy organization. In addition, Lutron roller and Roman shades were installed for smart-controlled privacy and lighting adjustments.
The exterior was extensively renovated, with new landscaping, LED lighting, a custom playground.
