Project Overview
I’ve worked closely with a family for fourteen years, initially introduced to them by a neighboring client whose apartment I renovated. This client, who is highly experienced in construction and particularly in terms of quality, was impressed with my work and recommended me for the project.
Over fourteen years, I managed this renovation’s multiple phases. Each phase was completed thoughtfully, creating a home adapted to the family’s evolving needs. The first project involved renovating their home’s kitchen, living room, and central areas. Two years later, I returned to renovate all their bathrooms, rework their bedroom, and redesign their daughter’s room.
Unique Element
Prior to the clients purchase of a neighboring duplex in the building, they consulted with me to review the building’s original plans, and we determined that combining both apartments were extensive, but feasible, so the client proceeded with their purchase. We relocated the kitchen, expanded the living room, and created a spacious bar, incorporating their love for wine with a custom wine bar. The newly renovated space was highly suitable for their entertaining needs, frequently hosting gatherings for colleagues and friends.
Custom Creations
We renovated and expanded the kitchen, featuring a Cesar Fenix Veneer, a highly durable material ideal for the family’s lifestyle. Porcelain countertops were chosen for their resilience against stains and a custom seating area was made from poured concrete. One of the most significant changes was the creation of a private primary suite on the lower level of the duplex accessed by a private staircase. Additional living space was added to the upper level by enclosing what used to be an open balcony. Throughout the project, we dealt with complex challenges all of which we successfully resolved.

The renovation has transformed the family’s home into an entertaining space while providing each family member with private, functional areas. I value the long-term connection with this family, these ongoing relationships make my work truly meaningful. I’ve watched their daughter grow up adapting her space to her evolving interests. It’s been a rewarding journey, not just as their contractor but as someone involved in every step of their life in this home.
